William Grippo Rites Monday - William Grippo, 1024 Luke Ave., died Thursday in Mercy Hospital after an illness. -- Born in Scranton, son of the late Frank and Mary DeVita (she was Mary Guida) Grippo, he attended Scranton public schools. Mr. Grippo had been employed as a miner 35 years prior to retirement in 1963. He was a member of St. Rocco's Church, Dunmore. -- Surviving are his widow, the former Minnie Savero; two sons, Frank, Clarks Summit and Rocco, Scranton; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Serrian, and Mrs. Florence Maglioli, Scranton; 14 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. -- The funeral will be Monday from Carl J. Savino Funeral Home, 157-59 S. Main Ave., with mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. Rocco's Church. Interment Abington Hills Cemetery. -- Friends may call today and Sunday 2 to 3, 7 to 9 p.m.
