Barbara (Bobbi) Davis was born in Marysville, CA to James (Jim) Edward Hammons and Alice (Lassie) Jane Ernst. She was raised by her grandparents, James Lee and Ruth Schooler Hammons, in Chico, CA.
Throughout her life, she lived in many places. In her teenage years, she lived in San Francisco and attended high school there. Shortly after, she moved to Yuba City, CA where she graduated high school. Bobbi lived a short time in Las Vegas, NV and returned back to the Marysville, CA area. There is where she met Roy (R.L.) Davis and they settled in the same area. Bobbi was an Office Manager for Mervyns in Marysville, CA and in 1989, the family moved to Carson City, NV where Bobbi's husband took the Postmaster position. Bobbi continued to work with Mervyns in Carson City, NV where she was the Fine Jewelry Manager up until she retired.
In 2009, Bobbi and her husband, R.L., moved to Kernersville, NC and lived there for four years before returning back to Carson City, NV in 2013.
Barbara Davis was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, oldest son, Dalton Lee Davis, and grandson, Chance R. Bettencourt.
Bobbi is survived by her husband, R.L. Davis; brother, Royal Foust (wife, Joyce); son, Kory Davis (wife, Denise); daughter, Melody Bettencourt (husband, Robert); and daughter, Charm Davis Parker (husband, Jeff).
Five grandsons, six granddaughters, nine great-grandsons and four great-granddaughters.
Interment will be at Sierra View Mortuary, 4900 Olive Ave. Olivehurst, CA on Sunday, February 15, 2015, at 12:00 pm.
