Jacob Harless,one of the well-known residents of Molalla, and a retired minister of the Christian Church, died in Molalla Thursday morning, after a brief illness.
Jacob Harless came to Clackamas County 40 years ago from Indiana, and since that time has made his home in Molalla, where he had taken an active interest in the county's affairs. He engaged in farming for some time, but of recent years had retired from active life.
He was 86 years of age,and was born in Ohio.
Mr. Harless is survived by two sons,Joseph Harless and Branch Harless, of Molalla. A brother,John Harless, died several years ago in Molalla. His wife died before he came West.
The funeral services are to be held from the Methodist church Saturday morning at 11:30 a.m.,and the interment will be in Molalla cemetery.
