Funeral services will be Monday February 9, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. with Dr. Carlton Allen officiating. Interment will follow at a later date in the Eastford Baptist Church Cemetery in Eastford, Connecticut. The family will receive friends at Ivie Funeral Home Sunday February 8, 2015 from 6 until 8 P.M.

He was born in Southbridge the youngest son of the late Ralph and Grace (Barlow) Thompson. Of his nine siblings he is survived by two sisters, Winfred Lucey of AZ and Gladys Curtis of Oxford, MA.
He graduated from Mary E. Wells High School, Southbridge, MA in 1949. Warren served in the naval reserves prior to serving in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict.
He retired from Fairview Hospital Gt. Barrington, MA after working nearly 20 years as a carpenter in the maintenance department. He also worked for many years as a jet engine mechanic in the aeronautical industry in the Windsor Locks, CT area.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of Commerce, Georgia.
He enjoyed woodworking. In addition to building/remodeling several of the homes for his family, he also enjoyed crafting birdhouses and whirligigs-these will be treasured by numerous family members. He and his wife were nature enthusiasts and enjoyed traveling to experience the many natural wonders across the country.
It is certain that he has reunited with the many dogs that he loved throughout his life.
