SCOTT, Richard "Dick", Resident of Mojave since 1956, was born on November 13, 1925, in Lincoln, Nebraska, passed away on May 3, 2006. Richard was a World War II Veteran, stationed in Italy, serving as a tail-gunner in a B-17. He graduated from the College of Idaho with a Bachelors Degree in physical education and science. He received his Masters Degree from Morehead State College in Kentucky. Richard worked for the Mojave Unified School District for 30 years. His career encompassed positions including Vice Principal, Athletic Director and Counselor at Mojave High School and the principal at Mojave Elementary for 20 years. He is survived by his wife Rheta, children, Dinah McCormic of Boise, Idaho, Rick and Donna Scott, Chuck Scott, and Mark and Terry Scott, all of Mojave. Grandchildren, Marlena, Sam, Ari, and Dominic McCormic of Idaho, Leslie Scott, Stacey and Carlo Franciotti of Bakersfield, Mark Scott II, of Lancaster, Garrett and Riley Scott of Mojave. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, May 13, 2006, at the Backus Gym at Mojave High School.
