Adam H. Diehl, 91, a retired Lehighton R. 3 farmer, died Friday in Weatherly R.D..
Before retiring in 1963, he traveled through Carbon County selling produce from his truck farm. Born in Franklin Township, he was a son of the late Alvin and Sally Ann (Peter) Diehl.
His first wife, the former Martha E. Green, died on Aug 4, 1927. Surviving are his widow, the former Minnie L. Leyer; two daughters, Hattie E., wife of Herbert Weidaw of Palmerton and Beatrice M. wife of Paul O. Frantz of Lehighton; four sons, Raymond A. of Coopersburg; Phaon A. of Lawrence, Kans; Martin E. of Walnutport and Harvey F. of Lehighton R. 1, 12 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
NOTE: Step son Theodore "Teddy" Leyer was also a surviving relative.
