Jonathan Wight, youngest child of Sgt. Henry Wight and Jane Goodenow, b. July 2, 1662 at Dedham, Mass. and d. Mar. 20, 1717/18 at Wrentham, Mass.

On Apr. 19, 1687 at Wrenthan, Mass., Jonathan m. Elizabeth Haws (q.v. Hawes), who d. at Wrentham July 5, 1764. They had the following seven children b. at Wrentham:

• i. Jean (q.v. Jeanne) Wight, b. Sept. 6, 1688, d. Apr. 26, 1754 at Wrentham; m. 1) Dec. 4, 1707 at Wrentham, Michael Ware, s. of Robert Ware and Sarah Metcalf, b. June 11, 1683 at Wrentham where he d. Sept. 21, 1725. Nine children of the family. Jean m. 2) Dec. 2, 1734 at Wrenthyam, Daniel Haws (q.v. Hawes).

• ii. Elizabeth Wight, b. June 28, 1692, d. Sept. 3, 1769 at Wrentham; m. Mar. 1, 1710/11 at Wrentham, Robert Ware, 3rd, s. of Robert Ware and Sarah Metcalf, b. Dec. 6, 1680 at Wrentham where he d. Jan. 9, 1731/2. Ten children of the family.

• iii. Mehitable Wight, b. Sept. 6, 1694 and d. in her youth at Wrentham in 1704.

• iv. Mary Wight, errantly called Hannah in the Wrentham birth records, b. Oct. 13, 1696, was living in 1764; m. Feb. 24, 1719/20 at Wrentham, John Whiting, Jr., s. John Whiting and Mary Billings, b. Jan. 16, 1694/5 at Wrentham where he d. as Dea. John Whiting, Feb. 13, 1755. Eight children of the family.

• v. Jonathan Wight, b. Jan. 6, 1699/700, d. testate Mar. 22, 1773 at Wrentham; m. 1) Feb. 13, 1720/1 at Wrentham, Jemima Whiting, younger sister of the husb. of Jonathan's sister Mary, b. Dec. 5, 1699 at Wrentham where she d. June 24, 1754. Ten children of the family. He m. 2) Dec. 5, 1754 at Wrentham, the widow Jerusha George, who d. testate before Feb. 5, 1793. Two additional children of the family.

• vi. A purported unnamed twin son to Jonathan, but who has no further record beyond his inclusion in the Wrentham birth records.

• vii. Sarah Wight, b. July 19, 1703, perhaps d. before 1764 at Hebron, Conn.; m. May 8, 1721 at Wrenthem, Thomas Dunham, s. Nathaniel and Mary Dunham, b. Apr. 28, 1697 at Wrentham. He d. Apr. 10, 1771 at Hebron, Conn. Five children of the family at Hebron. In the companion record of her marriage in the Hebron TRs, she is errantly called Sarah "Wright."

• iii. Mehitable Wight, b. Sept. 6, 1694 and d. in her youth at Wrentham in 1704.

• iv. Mary Wight, errantly called Hannah in the Wrentham birth records, b. Oct. 13, 1696, was living in 1764; m. Feb. 24, 1719/20 at Wrentham, John Whiting, Jr., s. John Whiting and Mary Billings, b.
