Hazel V. Anderson, age 80, of Monmouth, Illinois passed away at 12:45 am on Sunday, January 25, 2015 at the Monmouth Nursing Home in Monmouth, IL. Hazel was born on January 29, 1934 in Monmouth, Illinois and is the daughter of Moss and Emmer (Sanders) Strange. She was reared and educated in Monmouth and attended Monmouth High School graduating with the Class of 1952. On December 31, 1986, Hazel married Charles W. Anderson in Monmouth, Illinois and he preceded her in death on September 25, 1989. Hazel ran various restaurants in the area for 54 years and was well known at the Park-N-Eat in Monmouth. She was a life members of the Foursquare Gospel Church in Monmouth serving faithfully as a Sunday School Teacher, working in the nursery, and many other activities of the Church. Hazel is survived by a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters and four brothers.

Services: A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth, IL. Her family will be present to receive friends at 10:00 am prior to the service. Interment will follow at Warren County Memorial Park in Monmouth. Memorials may be left in the New Hope Fellowship Church in Greencastle, Indiana.
