Dorothy L. (Gromer) Edwards, daughter of the late Ernest Eugene Singleton Gromer and Addie Oevia Mason Gromer, was born in Dexter, Missouri on May 31, 1933, and passed away at the Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter, Missouri on October 23, 2014, at the age of 81 years, 4 months and 22 days.
She had lived in Essex most of her life and was of the Pentecostal Faith. She had worked at Swifts Poultry in Dexter. On November 25, 1950, she was married to Robert Lee Edwards in Essex, Missouri. He preceded her in death on April 12, 2012.
Surviving are one son, Mike Edwards of Dexter, Missouri, two daughters, Rebecca Edwards of Dexter, Missouri, Linda Cloninger of Advance, Missouri; ten grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; three brothers, Charles Gromer of Jackson, Missouri, Allen Gromer of St. Louis, Missouri, Cecil Gromer of Columbia, Missouri; two sisters, Mary Gromer of Dexter, Missouri and Annie Pruitt of Bloomfield, Missouri. She was preceded in death by one step-grandson, Michael and three brothers. Alva, Howard and Harold Gromer.
