Ernest “Reggie” Reginald Barrow, 68, passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro. He was born December 5, 1946 to Ernest H. and Maxine Strickland Barrow and lived in Florida for many years returning back to Glennville in 2007 to care for his aging mother. During his teenage years Reggie discovered his love of radio when he became an on-air disc jockey of WKIG radio in Glennville. Reggie's career in radio took him to Augusta, GA where he worked for singer James Brown at WRDW. After leaving radio broadcasting Reggie had a career in sales and finance in Florida. He was a gifted conversationalist who never met a stranger and left a lasting impression on people he met.

He is preceded in death by, his parents, Ernest and Maxine Barrow, sisters, Ernestine Dunk and Wanda McCoy and infant Marlene Barrow. He is survived by: Brother, Edsil (Joanne) Barrow of Springfield, GA Special nieces, Kandyce McCoy Silas of Lakeland, FL and Melissa Barrow Griffis of Springfield, GA., very special great nephew, Nicholas May of Springfield, GA Three nephews and several great nieces and nephews also survive.

Memorial Funeral Services will be held Sunday, January 25, 2015 at 2:00 pm at the chapel of Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home with Bro. Heath Barrow officiating.
