Vic Pauley, Aged 63, Well-
Known Citizen, Passed From
Stage of Life
Vick Pauley, age 63 years, died Tuesday about noon after only a few days illness from pneumonia.
Mr. Pauley was born Aug. 13, 1867 at Rocky Comfort, Ark., and moved to Cerro Gordo when only a small boy. He had lived on the same place at Cerro Gordo for 53 years. He was very active in the community affairs and had many friend there who regret his passing. He had reared a large family and left surviving him, his wife, two daughters and two sons, Mrs. Robert Wade, of Broken Bow, Miss Elizabeth Pauley, Cerro Gordo, Curtis and Henry Pauley of Cerro Gordo, a sister, Ace Williams, of Idabel and a brother W. M. Pauley of Forest Hill, and a host of other relatives and friend.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at the home, under the direction of Idabel Funeral Home, conducted by Rev. Milliner of Cerro Gordo and Rev. Bert Jones of this city, after which interment was had in the cemetery at that place.
Mr. Pauley was a brother-in-law of Miss Elizabeth Hooks of this city.
Among the friends from Idabel attending the funeral were: Mrs. Litha Travis, pat Ray, Misses Juanita Clinton, and Lee Holmes, Sam Sellars, Mr. and Mrs. Arden Brown, F. B. West, Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Boeings, Miss Lela Bullock, Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Kilgore, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Hendrix, E. M. Corbell, Gus Fuquay, W. A. Finney and Herman Hopkins.
