Born October 18, 1928 in Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late Aaron Lenoir Buff and Hettie Bradshaw Buff. Mrs. Brackett was retired from Hickory Springs Manufacturing and was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Alvin Brackett; two brothers, Clee Buff and Howard Buff; and three sisters, Gazzie Campbell, Corene Johnson and Edna Shoup.
Survivors include a son, Gary Brackett and wife, Karen of Lawndale and grandson, Kevin Brackett of Charlotte.
