Hoover H. Harris, age 82, of Chumuckla, passed away January 11, 2015, in Milton. He retired from Solutia as a lab supervisor and worked as a brick mason. He attended Brownsdale Baptist Church. He enjoyed his loving cat George.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Floyd, Burgess, Woodrow, Odean, John, Easter, and twin Paul Harris; sisters, Lavenia Nelson, Leaster Bell, Vester Bodie, Letha Myers infant child at birth and twin Pauline Harris.
He is survived by his wife, Lillian Harris; three children, Rhonda (Howard) Ford, Alan Harris, and Steven (Meg) Harris; stepchildren, Curtis (Cathy) Cook, Carol (Ron) Bryant, and Glenda Davison; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2015, beginning at 12 p.m. at Jay Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jeff Leake officiating.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until service time.

Burial will follow at Ard Field Cemetery in Chumuckla.

Pallbearers will be Austin Harris, Logan Harris, Keith Harris, Randy Ford, Scott Bryant, and Kirby Harris.
Honorary pallbearers will be men of Brownsdale Baptist Church.
