Reba Juanita was the eighth of thirteen and youngest daughter of Bennett Davis and Mary Belle (Easley) Merritt. She married first Roy Clyde Loftis after he returned from WWII, but they divorced soon after. Several years later, she married Pruitt Henry Reedy, an enlisted member of the U.S. Air Force.

From this union, Juanita and Pruitt had two children: a son, Thomas Reedy, and a daughter, Mary Jane (Reedy) Mills Hilliard.

The family traveled with Pruitt's job to places like Alaska, California and Florida before returning to live near family when he retired from the military. They occupied the Reedy family homestead until Pruitt's death in 1980. Not long afterward, Juanita sold the Reedy homestead to give her children their inheritance and moved to a small apartment in Weatherford, TX, to be near her daughter.

Thomas Reedy earned a PhD, worked for a short time as a Baptist Minister and tried his hand as an author, but these paths did not prove fruitful. His last known job was as a security guard in Kansas or Missouri.

Mary Jane (Reedy) Mills Hilliard, took care of her mother for many years while working as a dental hygienist in Weatherford, TX.

Juanita died in April 2014 after a long illness. She was survived by her sister, Nora, both children and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
