MRS. ELSBETH ROWE KENNON, 89, went to be with the Lord, Monday July 8, 1985. Widow of Louis H. Kennon, founder of L-K Pump Valve Company, now known as L-K Industries. Longtime member of First Baptist Church, having attended since 1900, Teacher of Fidelis-Phoebean Sunday School Class, Graduate of Rice Institute.
Survivors: Daughters and sons-in-law, Elsbeth and Eldridge Armstead, Austin, Beverly and Joe Hugghins, Houston, Nellen and Harold Hughens, Monroe, Louisiana; grandchildren, Richard Willard, Robert Willard, Tom Willard, Jeb Willard, Louis Willard, Tom Hugghins, Kennon Hugghins, Bill, Hugghins, Debbie Williamson, Ruth Selle, Kennon Hughens, Julie Kinlaw, Jeanne Hughens; several great grandchildren.
Funeral Services 12:00 noon, Thursday, July 11, 1985, Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Chapel with Reverend Felix Wagner, Reverend Harold Hughens and Reverend Bob Johnson officiating. Interment Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
In lieu of usual remembrances family suggests donations be made to E.D. Head Scholarship Fund or Building Fund of First Baptist Church. Grandsons will serve as Pallbearers.
