McDermott is well known in Clyde, having spent some time in Clyde with relatives in former years. He is survived by his parents. Mr. and Mrs. James McDermott of Cortland. Mrs. McDermott was Miss Katherine Bramer before her marriage nearly thirty years ago. Also surviving are one brother, William, a member of the State Police and one sister, Martha, at home.
