G. B. Ball, 67, of Hwy 21 East, passed away Monday, April 24, 2006 at his residence surrounded by his family, following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born Nov. 5, 1938, son of the late Allen Ball and Thelma Conn Ball, a retired Dresser Industries employee of 38 years, a member of the Dresser Quarter Century Club, and member of Wallaceton Baptist Church. He was a history buff, enjoyed his woodworking shop, and his horse, Geronimo.


In addition to his mother, survivors include his loving wife of 46 years, Alice Eileen Perkins Ball; 3 sons, Wilbert (Frances) Ball, Mitchell (Peggy) Ball, Daniel (Heather) Ball; 2 grandchildren, David Bryan Ball, Mary Eileen Ball; 2 sisters, Marjorie Whittemore (Bodie) Barnett, Dainna (Don) Moore; 6 nieces, 4 great nieces, 6 great nephews, and a host of relatives and friends.
