NEWT DAVIS FUNERAL TODAY
William N. (Newt) Davis, 69, of 1301 Cherry St. died at 6am Monday in a Waco Hospital. Funeral services were at 11:30am today in Wilkirson and Hatch Chapel, Rev. Lester Adams officiating with burial in Waco Memorial Park. Mr. Davis was born and educated in Erath. He moved to Waco as a child. He married Miss Pauline Scott in 1923. He worked for Central Freight Lines 25 years. Mr. Davis attended Spring Street Baptist Church. Survivors are his wife, one daughter, Mrs. R.R. Wilson of 3809 N. 21st., 4 sons, J.B. Davis and Thomas E. Davis both of Houston; Dan Davis of 2618 S. 26th and Raymond Davis of Atlanta, GA; a sister, Mrs. Robert Bannett of 2119 Sanger Ave.; 10 grandchildren.
