HUFFAKER, HAROLD E. – age 83, of Knoxville, passed away Sunday, July 24, 2011 at Mercy Residential Hospice. During his lifetime, he lived in Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. He had many special friends including, Paul Kelly, Tom Watts, Tip Barnes, Herbert Riley, and Lester Levin. He was a member of Emerald Avenue United Methodist Church, retired from TVA after 35 years of service, a US Army veteran of World War II, and preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Nell Huffaker; son, Ray Riley; and brothers, Don and Eddie Huffaker. He was Scoutmaster of Troop #49 at Emerald Avenue United Methodist Church for many years, and he hiked and camped on rough trails all over the southeastern states. Over 400 boys passed through his troop during that time.
