Greenwood SC – Mrs. Julia Perrin Whatley, 84, of 100 Columbia St., widow of Samuel Cook Whatley, died Monday [September 17, 1990]. Born in Greenwood County, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Chiles and Annie Culbertson Perrin. She retired from Greenwood Mills, Matthews Plant, and was a member of Greenwood Mills Quarter Century Club and Callie Self Memorial Baptist Church. Surviving are a son, William Whatley of Greenwood; and sisters, Mrs. Rufus (Statia) Edwards and Mrs. Ethel Creswell, both of Greenwood. Burial in Greenwood Memorial Gardens. Blyth Funeral Home. The State, Wednesday, September 19, 1990.
