BARBARUOLO, Betty Jean Dauro--On Nov. 17, 2014 just two days shy of her 54th wedding anniversary, and surrounded by family, Jean Barbaruolo died peacefully at home after a long battle with cancer.
A kind and gentle woman, she always had a smile on her face and love in her heart for her friends and family.
She spent more than five decades with her family camping at the beach, traveling the country and never missing an opportunity to jitterbug with her husband.
A truly selfless and private person, Jean prayed the Rosary daily and was a compassionate and loyal friend to many.
She is survived by her husband Rocco Barbaruolo; sons, Rocco John, Bishop, Calif., and Michael, Sioux Falls, S.D.; daughter Jennifer (Kealy) Dowd, Billings, Mont.; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild due early December.
Services will be held at the Blessed Junipero Serra Parish on Friday, December 5, 2014. The Holy Rosary will be recited at 10 am, with mass celebrated at 10:30 am, followed by interment at Good Shepherd Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the City of Hope - Antelope Valley, 44151 15th Street West, Lancaster, CA 93534.
