Aubra Ernest Allport, 75, of Richmond died Tuesday at his home. Mr. Allport, a retired employee of the C&O Railroad, was a deacon at Mt. Herman Baptist Church in Caroline County and a member of Glen Allen Masonic Lodge No 131 AF&AM in Richmond.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Allport, of Richmond; a daughter, Mrs. Ernestine A. Sasser, of Richmond; six sisters, Mrs. Katherine Jerrell, of Thornburg, Mrs. Madelyn Goodliffe and Mrs. Frances Roberts, both of Baltimore, Mrs. Jessie Smither, Mrs. Alice Blanton and Mrs. Lucile Pleasants, all of Richmond; three brothers, George and John Allport, both of Richmond, and Richard Allport, of Ashland; and four grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Bennett Funeral Home in Richmond. The Rev. John W. Kincheloe will officiate. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Richmond.
