Ellis -- John R. Beer, 42, Ellis, died Wednesday, Aug. 2, 1995, at the Trego County-Lemke Memorial Hospital, WaKeeney.

Mr. Beer was born Oct. 27, 1952, at Hays and was a resident of Ellis most of his life.

He was a school psychologist for the Phillipsburg Special Education Corop, where he worked for the Osborne School District and had worked for the Silver Lake School District. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Ellis, and Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society.

Survivors include a brother, Joe of Ellis; and a half sister, Rebecca Ann McDonald of Ellis.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the St. Mary's Catholic Church, Ellis, the Rev. Galen Long officiating. Burial will be in Sti Mary's Catholic Cemetery. A vigil will be at 7 p.m. today at the Schmitt Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to M.A.S.H. Hospice. Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home, 336 N. 12th St., WaKeeney 67672.
