Mrs. Frances Smotherman Hall
Funeral services for Mrs. Frances Smotherman Hall, 77, of Acworth, Ga., formerly of Detroit, Mich., who died Saturday after an extended illness, will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Cedar Grove United Methodist Church in Cedar Grove. The Rev. Ernie Herman Smotherman will officiate and burial will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
A native of Bedford County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Walter and Ora Blanche Beasley Smotherman. She was retired from the Detroit, Mich., school system and was a member of Community Bible Church in Acworth, Ga.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Hall of Acworth, Ga.; three daughters, Jo Ann Veteto of Acworth, Ga., Patricia Harkness of Dundee, Mich.; and Charlene Hutsell of Acworth, Ga.; two sons, Aaron Janes and Marvin Janes, Sr., both of Sterling Heights, Mich.; a stepdaughter, Rose Marie Marvin of Las Vegas, Nev.; two sisters, Irene Marlin of Shelbyville and Katherine Newman of Winter Haven, Fla.; three brothers, Marvin Smotherman of Chapel Hill, Thomas Clayton "Red" Smotherman of Alva, Fla., and Herman Smotherman of Moulton, Ala.; 18 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Visitation with the family will begin 5 p.m. Monday at Lawrence Funeral Home; the body will lie in state from noon Tuesday until service time.

CHAPEL HILL - Services for Mrs. Frances Smotherman, 77, were held Tuesdat at Cedar Grove United Methodist Church at Cedar Grove Community in Bedford County. Burial was at Cedar Grove Cemetery. Lawrence Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Hall, a resident of Acworth, Ga., and a native of Bedford County, died Saturday.
She was retired from the Detroit school system.

Hall.
She was a member of Community Bible Church in Acworth.
