Ruth Norris Rothwell was the beloved daughter of Duncan C. Norris and Pauline Haithcock Norris. Ruth was born in McColl, Marlboro Co., SC on Apr. 04, 1925 and died on Jan. 27, 1987 in Martinez, Columbia Co., GA at the age of 61. Ruth's childhood home was in McColl, Marlboro Co., SC. Ruth's family later relocated to 111 Fleet Street in Bennettsville, Marlboro Co., SC. Ruth's last home of residence was at 204 Miramar Dr., Martinez, GA. Ruth was buried at Westover Memorial Park Cemetery in Augusta, Richmond Co., GA. Ruth Norris was the beloved mother of Stephen Russell Pain and Arthur Duncan Pain. Ruth was a truly dedicated mother and home maker who loved her children with all her heart. After the death of her mother, Pauline Norris, Ruth Norris became the matriarch of the Norris family until her death.

Mrs. Ruth Norris Pain Rothwell, 3908 Marsella Ave., Martinez, GA died Tuesday in Humana Hospital, Augusta. The Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Thomas L. King Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry L. Hewatt officating. Burial will be in Westover Memorial Park. Mrs. Ruth Rothwell was a native of McColl, SC, and lived 18 years in Martinez, Georgia. Ruth was a homemaker and a retired seamstress with Carole Fabrics. She was a member of the Church of God. Survivors include two sons: Stephen Russell Pain, Martinez, GA and Arthur Duncan Pain, Martinez, GA; two brothers, Frank Norris, McColl, SC, and John Norris, Fayetteville, NC; and two sisters, Peggy Seacrist, Fayetteville, NC, and Geraldine Hall, Swanee, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today. The Augusta Chronicle, Augusta, GA., Thursday Morning, Jan. 29, 1987.
