In 1938 Arther and older brother Kurt were smugled out of Germany. Arthur spent 2 years as a DP in England and then was deported from England to Quebec and spent another 2 years in a Canadian DP camp. Arthur, Lipa and Issy Marovitch were all partners in the Main Meat Company. Arthur was the senior partner at 50% and Lipa and Issy were partners at 25% each. Arthur was an avid skier and also enjoyed bicycling.
