"Maxine M Morris, 76, of 44848 Mageetown Road, Centerville, died Sunday, Oct 17, 1999, in Corry Memorial Hospital. Mrs Morris was born July 8, 1923, in Rome Township, Crawford County, to the late Martin and Cora Heliker. She married Fred H Morris on Aug 4, 1949, at Panama, NY. He died May 30, 1992. Mrs Morris was raised and educated in the Spartansburg area, graduating from Sparta High School. Over the years, her time was spent caring for her family and helping her husband on the family dairy farm. Mrs Morris attended Rometown Community Church. Surviving are: a daughter and son-in-law, Margaret and Bill Swantek of Buells Corners; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Andrew T Morris of Centerville and William H and Peggy Morris of Oil City; three step-sons and two step-daughters-in-law, Paul W and Ruth Morris of Tidioute, Kirk R and Mary Morris of Warren, and Dennis C 'Randy' Morris of Milford, Conn; six grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Cleo Woodward of Erie, Enza Terrill of Corry, and Kate and David Pring of Erie; and several nieces and nephews. Three brothers, Lee Heliker, Martin Heliker Jr, and Milton Heliker, died previously. Friends may call...at [the] Bracken Funeral Home, 211 Mechanic St, Spartansburg, and attend the funeral there at 2 pm Wednesday with Rev Tenny Corbett, pastor of Rometown Community Church, officiating. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Spartansburg."
