one of six airmen listed as killed in a crash,
six miles southwest of Menlo, Iowa.

1st Lt. Alan I Rohrbach
2nd Lt. Melvin C Ehrman
Cpl. Leroy D Crick
Cpl. William A Hudgens

Robert's brother Noah passed away in 2011 and was laid to rest in the same cemetery.
