Daughter Mary Jane married Uriah Chaney Malott & James E. Clark, Sr. Lucy Anne married George W. Craven. Daughter Barbara Anshutz married Henry Muchmore and daughter Georgeanna/Anna S. "Annie" Anshutz married Albert Rambo.

Sons John and William served in Civil War, William dying age 16 y and 10 months. Son John A. Anshutz married Elizabeth A. Fruit.

Son Joseph married Frances A. Wharff and she is buried with their daughter Bessie in Maple Hill Cemetery, Osceola, IA.

Rev. Joseph was a Civil War veteran who served with the 83rd OH Infantry.

He died age 59 years 3 months and 2 days.

His granddaughter Cora May Rambo is buried beside him.

His wife Mary's obituary in Osceola Sentinel in 1902 says Mary died 29 December 1901 in Kansas City at home of a daughter[Mary Jane] and was returned to Clarke Co, IA where she was buried at Liberty Cemetery[she is not listed there].
