He was born December 25, 1945, and was a lifelong resident of the area.
John was a lover of anything involving cars, and was a self-employed mechanic. He enjoyed country music, and liked playing his guitar and singing. He loved nature, and enjoyed walks through the woods with his dog.
He is survived by his children, Alisha Corbett, Misty Corbett, Vicki Ferris, John S. Corbett, Jr., and Mervin Corbett; his grandchildren, Paige Spang, Sydney Spang, Genevieve Wojcik, Linda Govindu, Julia Vorgne, and Noah Corbett; four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Howard Corbett, Sr., his mother, Leola (Johns) Wolfe; his wife, Debra (Hollobaugh) Corbett; a brother, Howard "Howdie" Corbett; and his dog, Hank.
Friends will be welcomed from 2 to 6 p.m., Tuesday, in the WELCH FUNERAL HOME, 1032 Fourth Ave., Ford City. The funeral service be held at 6 p.m., Tuesday, immediately following visitation. Interment will be private.
