Marshall Street Woman Expires
Mrs. Cora G. Sheary, 77, of 1771 North Marshall Street, wife of Frank Sheary, widely known retired barber, died yesterday afternoon at 4:45 in Northumberland County Hospital, Trevorton Road, where she was a patient for five weeks. Death, was due to a complication, terminated an illness of three months duration.
Born in Shamokin August 17, 1882, Mrs. Sheary was a daughter of the late Joseph and Ida (Reed) Kerschner. The lifelong Shamokin resident taught school in the Grant building many years ago.
Mrs. Sheary was married June 8, 1910, in Shamokin to Frank Sheary. She was graduated from Shamokin High School in 1900 and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Survivors include the husband, two daughters, Miss Helen Sheary, Kansas City, Mo., and Mrs. Stanley Johnson, Lebanon; one son, Frank, Jr., Asheville, N.C.; two grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs. Fred Keiser, Hollywood, Fla.; Mrs. Ray William, Fairless Hills, and Mrs. Florence Frye, Springfield, and three brothers, Joseph, Philadelphia; Raymond, Pottsville, and James, Bellefonte.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 3:00 in Farrow Funeral Home, Sixth and Chestnut Streets. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery...
