Ira Vinson Browning born Jan. 5th 1870 in Alabama, he was a Missionary Baptist Minister. Ira V Browning was first married to Charlotte Temples in 1896, they had four children, two died at childbirth leaving two sons. Charlotte passed away June 21,1900. According to the 1900 census, Ira left his two sons in the care of Mollie Gieger and her husband in Laurel Town Miss. Ira V. Browning's second wife was Annie Laura Browning (born Fielder) she was born in Attala, Miss. They were married May 2,1910 in Miss. and then moved to Crossett, Ark. to work in a sawmill, as a log scaler according to the 1910 census. They had nine Children. Their Daughter Clara Norvell died during a flu epidemic and is buried in Crossett, Find A Grave Memorial# 6157771.

Ira passed away Jan. 31,1928 in Crossett, Arkansas from Malaria. Afterwards Annie Laura Browning moved her family to Black Oak, Craighead Co., Arkansas.The family consisted of the following living Children: Son William Laudren Browning, Daughter Hettie Mae Browning, Daughter Ida Verdell Browning, Son Ercell D Browning, Daughter Marjolane Browning Son James Gordon Browning, Son Charles Edwin Browning, and Daughter Lois Nell Browning.
