Marie M. Hauser age 82 of 619 N. Military Rd. in Sherwood died peacefully on Wednesday February 16, 2005 at Oakridge Gardens Nursing Facility in Menasha. She was born August 19, 1922 in Stockbridge daughter of the late John & Clara (Dorn) Ecker. Marie married Ervin Hauser on May 5, 1942 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Stockbridge. He preceded her in death on April 2, 1969. Marie worked for Gunderson Cleaners for many years before retiring in 1984. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sherwood, a former member of the Christian Mothers and volunteered at the Salvatorian Center in New Holstein. Marie loved life and was an avid bowler. Survivors include her children: Karen (Ralph) Probst of Sherwood, Barbara (Bill) Neubauer of Appleton, Joan (Bob) Stumpf of Menasha, Mary Hauser of Stockbridge; 10 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 1 brother-in-law; and 6 sisters-in-law. Marie was also preceded in death by a special friend of Mary: Bruce Schoen; 2 sisters; and 5 brothers. Funeral services will be at 11:30 AM on Saturday February 19, 2005 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sherwood with the Rev. Leander Nickel officiating. Burial will be in Parish Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 9:00 - 11:30 on Saturday February 19 when services will be held. The family would like to thank the staff of Oakridge Gardens for the loving, tender care they provided for Marie. Remember me when flowers bloom early in the spring. Remember me on sunny days in the fun that summer brings. Remember me in the fall as you walk through the leaves of gold. And in the wintertime - remember me in the stories that are told.
