Jesse's parents are unknown to me, they were both born in New Jersey. He married Elizabeth J Wolfe 12 January 1856 in Hope, Warren County, New Jersey. They have seven or more children: Permelia, Eli/Lee, Diana/Anna, James Fletcher, Nancy M/?Ida, Samuel S, and George W, all but Permelia were born in Kansas, she was born in Illinois. Five children are listed on the 1880 Census. Five heirs are listed in probate records after Elizabeth's death, believe two of the five were grandchildren. Jesse's occupation was farmer.

Cause: Pneumonia, ill four days
