Nov. 27, 1984, at a Bangor hospital after a long illness. She was born in Eastport, the daughter of Herbert Frank and Mary (Molly) Mitchell. She and her husband had operated boarding homes in the Eastport area for more than 30 years. She resided in later years with her son, James Wallace Jr. in Pembroke and eldest daughter, Rose Marie, in Bangor.
She is survived by one son, James Jr. of Pembroke; two daughters, Rose Marie Bamford at Bangor and Ida (Wallace) Townsend at Perry; 52 grandchildren and great grandchildren; four sisters, Annie Randall, Eva Marsh and Stella Townsend, all of Eastport and Rita Mitchell at Lubec; several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Flagg Funeral Home 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday, Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. David P. Belliveau officiating. Interment will be in Restlawn Cemetery, Perry.
