Frank suffered from Tuberculosis from a young age. He left the service of his father's Bank in 1903 to homestead in Saskatchewan with his brother Jim. The family hoped the clear fresh air would help him. In 1906 his health deteriorated and his parents came to Canada and returned to England with him. He died of Consumption at Hillside House on Grimsby Rd.
