Rhonda Gaynell Blankenship Poole, 51, of Newborn, passed away on Tuesday, September 30, 2014. She was born on July 19, 1963 to Richard Blankenship and Carolyn Archer Wright. Mrs. Poole was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Newborn. She enjoyed reading, working in her flower garden and bird watching. She was preceded in death by her father Richard C. Blankenship in 1989.
Mrs. Poole is survived by her mother Carolyn Archer Wright of Covington; sons John Poole of Newborn and Corey Poole of Newborn; granddaughters Ariana Poole, Arial Poole, Arissa Poole and Emily Poole; sister and brother-in-law Regina and Darryl Gunter of Acworth; brothers Rickey Blankenship of Mars Hill, Maine and Christopher Blankenship of Covington; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
A funeral service will be held Friday, October 3, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Shiloh Baptist Church in Newborn with Rev. Danny Sorrells and Rev. Dwayne Carroll officiating. Mrs. Poole will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow immediately after the service at Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, October 2, 2014 from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm.
