Susan NORKUS Samuleman, 87, of Stratford, beloved wife of the late George A. Samuleman, died Saturday May 9th in Bridgeport Hospital. Mrs. Samuleman, a retired aide for Restmore Convalescent Home, Stratford, was born January 9th 1911 to Lithuanian immigrants Vincent and Anna Norkus and was a lifetime area resident.
Survivors include a son, Edward Samuleman, a daughter Ann Samuleman, three grandchildren Michael and his wife Maries, Christime MacFayden and husband John, and DeAnn Samuleman. Three great-grandsons Patrick & Joseph MacFayden and Jimmy Samuleman.
Funeral mass was held at St James Roman Catholic Church, Stratford. The family requests flowers be omitted and donations be made in her memory to the Statford EMS, Stratford DARE program or St James Church.
