Son of Dr. Elijah Warren and Mary Mahin Boyles.

Married to Anna E. Sargent. He was Anna's second husband. She had previously been married to a man with the last name of Keyes.

Adoptive father of Captain Clifford Henry (Keyes) Boyles who served during WWI.

Father-in-law of first Vera and then Leona.

Horace outlived his 1st wife and his adopted son.

He married a second time to a woman named Pearl Burleson who was born in New York and moved with her parents to live in South Dakota.

Horace founded Boyles Business College in Omaha, Nebraska. The address for the college was 1805 Farnam. It sat across the corner from the old Douglas County Courthouse and the new one built in the early 1900's.

Horace's half brother Vivian Warren Boyles worked at and helped manage the business college. Both men were very successful in the Omaha area.

In the 1920's Horace brought his older brother Herbert and Herbert's wife Loretta to live with him in Omaha. Loretta died in 1925 and Herbert died in 1928.

He was Freemason and member of Omaha Lodge #1. He was also a member of the Chamber of Commerce. Horace was part of the Rotary Club of Omaha as well.
