Harold Jacob Knecht, age 67, died Monday, October 30, 2000 at the residence. Born February 11, 1933 near Jeffersonville, Oh. and graduated from Jeffersonville High School in 1951. Veteran U.S. Air Force, Korean War. Harold received a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Detroit in 1962 and Master of Science Degree from The Ohio State University in 1963. He retired in 1989 from AT&T Bell Telephone Labs. Survived by wife of 44 years, Margaret (Wright) Knecht; children, Theresa (Dr. Steven) Ross of Pickerington, Anne (Mitchell) Schwartz of Bexley and Thomas (Ann) Knecht of Lancaster; grandchildren, Halley, Alec and Kamryn Ross, Max, Adam and Abigail Schwartz, Dylan and Nicholas Knecht; sister, Catharine Chrietzberg of Tyler, Tex.; brothers, Clarence (Mary Agnes) Knecht of Jeffersonville, Oh., Carroll (Ruth) Knecht of Washington C.H., Oh.; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by parents Clarence J. and Felicitas (Burg) Knecht, sister Margaret Elizabeth Knecht, brothers Robert M. Knecht and Rev. Joseph E. Knecht, S.J., sister-in-law Dominica (Wollenberg) Knecht, brother-in-law Billy Paul Chrietzberg, nephew Stephen Knecht.
