Rites Set

Services for W.B. "Bill" Garrett, 808 West Poplar, pioneer farmer, formerly of Delhi, who died Sunday at the Sayre Hospital following an extended illness will be held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. M.L. Garrett and the Rev. R.F. Gates officiating.
Born May 10, 1890 in Georgia, Mr. Garrett came to western Oklahoma in 1932 settling at Sayre. In 1940 he moved to Delhi where he farmed until 1955 when he returned to Sayre.
He was married to Susie Davis, Caldwell Kansas, August 25, 1935.
A licenced minister of the Baptist Church, he served in the evangelistic field, in Beckham County.
Survivors include the wife of the home; one son Johnnie of the home; one foster son Jimmie of the home; one step son Tom Davis of Wichita Falls, Texas; one foster daughter, Mrs. Inez Bates, Long Beach, California; four sisters, Mrs. Ethel Trail, Oklahoma City, Mrs. Ophenia Ingram, Gracemont, Oklahoma, Mrs. Dovie Childress and Mrs. Nora Finny, Colorado Springs, Colorado; five brothers, Burman of Barnsdall, Jeff and Claud, Minco, George of Gracemont and Luther of Lawton.
Interment will be in Sayre-Doxey Cemetery with Moore funeral home in charge of arrangements.
