Peggy Spradley, 86, of McGregor, passed away September 15, 2014. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, September 17, at Cole Funeral Home, McGregor. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, September 18, at the College Avenue Baptist Church in McGregor. Burial will be in McGregory Cemetery.

Peggy was born In Chilton, Texas, to the late William and Bernice (Silas) Arledge. She attended schools in Chilton and later went to school in McGregor. She was a longtime member of the College Avenue Baptist Church. There she served as the Vacation Bible school Director and taught Sunday school for many years. Peggy also was involved with the Women's Missionary Union and the Garden Club. She was a big supporter of the McGregor Fire Department but most of all her family who she loved and adored.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a brother; three sisters; and grandson–in-law, Mike Aycock.

Survivors include her son, R. Moe Spradley and wife, Karen, of McGregor; grandchildren, Audra Denn and husband, Matt, and Angie Aycock; great-grandchildren: Dalton Aycock, Dakota Aycock, Madelyn Denn and Michael Denn; other relatives and many friends.
