WASHINGTON, Aug. 3, (U.P.)

Nineteen persons were listed by the Navy

today as missing or dead in the Pacific

theater plane crash which cost the life

of Rear Admiral Charles P Cecil,

ninth flag officer to be killed in this war.


The plane, a Naval transport, operated under

contract by Pan-American Airways, crashed in

a take-off from an undisclosed Pacific base.

No other details have been disclosed.
