Mrs. Mary E. (Johnson) Johnston, 82, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Jesse Batchelor on last Wednesday morning after a brief illness. Mrs. Johnson had lived in Hancock County the greater part of her life and had made her home with her daughter for the past eight years, since the death of her husband.
She was a good woman and had gone to reap the reward laid up for the faithful. Funeral services were conducted on Thursday morning at 11 o'clock at Knowles Chapel, Rev. Henderson, of Culverton, officiating. Mrs. Johnson is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Jesse Batchelor; a brother, and several nieces and nephews.
