Hilda Mae Bates, age 66, of Gates died Monday, September 8, 2014 at her home in Gates.
Hilda was born May 18, 1948 in Lauderdale Co. She is the daughter of the late Louis Turner and the late Ermma Mae (Hoggard) Braden.
She married James Verlon Bates.
She was a Homemaker.
She is survived by her husband: James Verlon Bates , two daughters: Alesa Miller of Millington, TN, Crystal Newman of Gates, TN and one son: James Newman of Newbern, TN; step son, Murray Bates of Milan, TN. Sister of eight sisters: Cindy Leggett of Dyersburg, TN, Anita Ellis of Harrisburg, PA, Angie Capell of Halls, TN, Sharron Meadows of Ripley, TN, Janice Jones of Halls, TN, Therera Rogers of Ripley, TN, Linda Campell of Ripley, TN, Sheila Hutcherson of Ripley, TN and four brothers: Lanny Braden of Ripley, TN, Mark Braden of Ripley, TN, Paule Braden of Ripley, TN, Terry Braden of Goreville, TN. She also leaves 3 grandchildren.
The funeral will be held on Friday September 12,2014 at Halls Funeral Home, 109 N. Church St., Halls, TN with Bro. Jerry Coln officiating. Burial will be in a family Cemetery., 1585 Garrett Ball Rd. Gates,TN .
