Obituary for Thomas Chiaverini:
Thomas Chiaverini
Thomas Chiaverini, 69, of 181 Waverly St., died yesterday at St. Joseph's Hospital, after a short illness.
He had been an employee at the Glenwood Plant of the Phelps Dodge Copper Products Corp. in Yonkers.
Born in Hastings-on-Hudson on Oct. 2, 1895, Mr. Chiaverini was a son of the late Falco and Giovina Verno Chiaverini. He moved to Yonkers as a child and attended St. Mary's School.
On Nov. 12, 1922, he married the former Rose Caccivini at the Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel.
He served overseas with the Army during World War I and was a member of Frank A. Rea Post, American Legion. He was also a member of Club Pugliese and a communcant of Mount Carmel Church.
Surviving besides his wife are two sons, Joseph of Yonkers and Falco of Arnawalk; a daughter, Miss Rosemarie Chiaverini of Yonkers; two brothers, James and Falco of Yonkers; three sisters, Mrs. Joseph (Anna) Bova and Mrs. Salvatore (Antoinette) Serena, both of Yonkers, and Mrs Joseph (Anna) Bova of Dobbs Ferry, and three grandchildren.
