Mrs. Lavina Andrews died at the home of her son, Merritt Andrews, 409 North James street, Monday morning, of old age, she being in her 93d year. She had been in feeble health for some time. At 8 o'clock Monday morning Mrs. Andrews went to the bedroom door of deceased to ask her what she would have for breakfast. On receiving no response she went to the bed and found that her mother-in-law was dead, although her body was not entirely cold. She had probably been dead about an hour.
Mrs. Andrews was born in Westville, Otsego County. Her husband died 28 years ago. Two other children remain, a daughter in Washington and a son in Pittsburg, Pa. The funeral will be held at 2 p. m. today at the home of her son, and will be private.
