Sarah Jane Barker Allan, 82, of 661 E. 100 N., Springville, died Thursday, Sept. 11, 1975 in a hospital in Las Vegas, following a long illness. She was born Oct. 11,1892 in the lefthand fork of Hobble Creek Canyon, the daughter of Thomas and Mary Catherine Webster Barker. She was married to Henry K. Allan on Jan. 22, 1913 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Mr. Allan died in 1971. She was active in the LDS Church in the Relief Society and was a ardent temple and genealogy worker. She was a member of a quilting club and active in the Senior Citizens Organization. She is survived by five sons and two daughters, Elvin H. Allan, Orem; Leonard M. Allan, Mapleton; Donald F. Allan, New York City; M. LaVerl Allan, Layton; Gerald L. Allan and Mrs. Ted (Lenore) Brinkerhoff, both of Provo; Mrs. Ben (Vonda) Alexander, Las Vegas; 34 grandchildren; 49 great grandchildren; one brother and one sister, Myrum Barker, Hobble Creek Canyon, and Mrs. Asa (Carolyn) Shepherd, Springville. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 11 a.m. in the Springville Fourth - lOflT- 17th LDS Ward Chapel, with Bishop Calvin Baxter of the 17th Ward officiating. Friends may call at the Wheeler Mortuary on Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. or Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
