Mrs. Roy Podewels, 68, of Rt 6 Janesville died early yesterday in Colonial Manor Nursing Home after a long illness.
Hazel Frendendall was Born Aug 30, 1901 at Whitewater, the daughter of Clark and Eva Poole Fredendall, and was married Feb. 12, 1926 in Rockford. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Chruch.
Surviving are her husband, two sons; William H. Kent of Eau Claire and Edwin Podewels of Janesville, three daughters, Mmes. Byron Johns, Robert Manthei and John Kfafjack, all of Janesville; 12 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; a brother, John Fredendall of Janesville; five sisters, Mmes. Byron Codman, Doris Challey, Earl Montgomery and Thelma Hansen, all of Janesville and Mrs. Lucille Allen, Beloit.
