The third death within the present week occurred Thursday at noon, when Michael Criswell, a well known farmer, residing north of this city, passed away, following an illness of several weeks. Mr. Criswell was seventy-one years of age and had been a resident of White county practically all his life. Besides the widow, Mr. Criswell is survived by seven children as follows: Mrs. Charles Spain, Rensselaer; Mrs. Lloyd Hinshaw, Michigan City; Ira, Dale and Ray, of Minneapolis, Minn.; Henry of California, and Miss Jessie Criswell of this city. Four brothers, William, Robert and John, of Monticello, and George of Burnettsville, and two sisters, Mrs. Emma Shell and Mrs. Florence Welte of Monticello, also survive. The funeral will be held Sunday afternoon at the home, and interment will be made in Riverview cemetery.
